All On 4 - 6 Implant

It is a special form of treatment that can be successfully applied only by maxillofacial surgery specialists in patients who are completely edentulous or whose existing teeth cannot be treated; in people with insufficient bone in the posterior regions of the lower or upper jaws, and allows for the construction of fixed teeth.

In a completely toothless jaw, only 4 implants are sufficient with this technique to replace lost teeth with fixed dental treatment. two of these implants are straight and the other two are placed at an angle of 17-40 degrees to avoid damaging the anatomical structures. It is applied either under local anesthesia or general anesthesia.

In a single session, if the patient has teeth to be extracted, they are extracted and implants are placed. The prepared temporary prostheses are fixed to the implants in the same session and the treatment is completed in 1 day. After 3-6 months, the person’s permanent fixed prostheses are applied.

All On 6 Implants

In patients who are completely edentulous or whose existing teeth cannot be treated; It is a special form of treatment that allows fixed teeth to be made by placing 6 implants in each jaw. All chewing, speech and aesthetic functions are provided with 6 implants placed in the jawbone. With this technique, it is possible to place implants on the day the teeth are extracted and fixed temporary teeth on the same day. In edentulous patients, it is possible to make fixed temporary prosthesis on the same day the implants are made.

All On 4 - 6 Implant Differences

All-On-4 Implant Method:

  • Definition: “The “All-On-4” method is a protocol in which only four implants are used to support full arch prostheses.
  • Implant Placement: Usually, two implants are placed vertically in the anterior region and the other two implants are placed at an oblique angle in the posterior regions. This oblique placement allows the use of longer implants without damaging the nerve structures and also provides better stability.
  • Advantages: Rapid treatment and prosthesis application usually eliminates the need for bone grafting, requires less surgical intervention and is usually cost-effective.
  • Application Area: It is especially preferred in patients with excessive bone loss.

All-On-6 Implant Method:

  • Definition: The “All-On-6” method is a protocol in which six implants are used to support full arch prostheses.
  • Implant Placement: Four implants are usually placed perpendicularly in the anterior region and two implants are placed at an oblique angle in the posterior regions. This provides a wider support and better force distribution.
  • Advantages: Increased stability and force distribution achieved with a higher number of implants.
  • Application Area: It is preferred in patients with sufficient bone structure.
